The primary function of a swirl diffuser is to generate a rotating, spiral airflow pattern that produces high air induction and ensures quick mixing of supply air with room air. This design allows the diffuser to handle large volumes of air while maintaining comfortable, draft-free conditions. The unit features an aluminium-pressed face with radially positioned, angled deflectors that can be adjusted to direct the airflow as required. These deflectors are finished with a durable black powder-coated enamel.
Swirl diffusers are manufactured from premium aluminium sheet using precision punching methods. Models with fixed blades serve as efficient air distribution units consisting of a casing and a front panel. The front panel integrates a series of stationary radial blades that guide the airflow into the occupied zone. The diffuser connects to the duct system via a flexible round hose and can be installed horizontally or vertically.
The circular configuration of the blades creates a uniform swirl pattern throughout the conditioned area. This rotational airflow promotes rapid induction, quickly reducing the air velocity and temperature difference between supply air and room air.
A flush-mounted square version is also available, specifically designed to replace standard ceiling tiles in T-bar modular grid systems.
Swirl diffusers can be supplied as face-only units or as complete assemblies equipped with a volume control damper.
Plenum boxes are available with either top or side-entry spigots and can be fitted with a volume control damper when required.
