Fresh Air Louver

Fresh Air Louver

A fresh air louver is a ventilation component designed to permit airflow while preventing the entry of unwanted contaminants such as rainwater, dust, and debris. This is achieved through closely spaced, non-drainable fixed blades mounted within a frame, offering effective protection against direct rain penetration as well as blocking leaves and birds.
These louvers are typically installed externally and serve as air intake or exhaust openings for HVAC systems. For optimal performance, the air velocity through fresh air louver openings should generally be kept within 2 to 2.5 m/s.
The FAL functions as a basic filtered louver, consisting of a louver assembly fitted with an aluminium filter at the rear. The filter ensures cleaner air admission with minimal pressure drop and reduced regenerated noise due to the aerofoil-shaped blades.
Fresh air louvers are suitable for installation on the intake side of fresh air ducting, air handling units, and exhaust points where contaminated air is discharged.

Features:

  • Designed for fresh-air intake, cooling, and general ventilation applications

  • Constructed from high-strength extruded aluminium for long-lasting durability and corrosion resistance

  • Equipped with an integrated aluminium bird screen as a standard feature

  • Bird screen prevents entry of large debris, insects, and small animals for system protection

  • Blades fixed at a 45° angle with 40 mm spacing to minimize water ingress

  • Large assemblies can be formed by joining multiple sections using supporting frames

Finish:

  •  Standard finish: RAL 9016 powder-coated coating
