Acoustic louvers

Acoustic louvers

Acoustic louvers are engineered to allow airflow while simultaneously reducing noise transmission, making them suitable for a wide variety of environments—from demanding industrial conditions to offshore locations. Each unit can be tailored to meet specific project requirements and is ideal for applications such as ventilation intakes, mechanical equipment screening, and noise control barriers.
These louvers are designed to achieve effective sound attenuation with minimal resistance to airflow. VCD’s acoustic louvers are available in galvanized steel or aluminium construction and can be manufactured to fit any required opening size.
Acoustic performance varies according to blade design and overall louver depth, both of which influence the aerodynamic and noise-reducing characteristics. The louvers are internally packed with non-combustible, high-density acoustic insulation to absorb sound. For situations requiring enhanced noise reduction, double-bank configurations can be provided.
